EVALUATION SYSTEM-2024-25

Pre-Primary Level

The students of the Pre-Primary Section are closely observed and periodically assessed/graded on the basis of their physical and motor development, motor-coordination, interpersonal skills, social skills and language and cognitive development.

Primary Classes I & II

The assessment would be Continuous and Comprehensive, based on Language skills, Mathematics skills, EVS, Application of knowledge, Subject Enrichment Activities, Art Integrated Activities etc. The session is divided into two terms as follows:
TERM 1- April to September
TERM 2- October to March

GRADES shall be awarded for the assessment in each term.

  • The students of classes 1 and 2 will be assessed based on class tests conducted at the end of the month and internal assessments throughout the year.
  • There is no end-of-term exam up till class 2.

EXAMINATIONS

Promotion Policy for Classes III-VIII will be applicable as per the DoE’s guidelines. Marks shall be awarded for tests and examinations instead of grades. Minimum passing marks for every subject shall be 40 up to Class VIII and for IX-XII according to CBSE norms. A student must have passing marks in all subjects in order to get promoted to the next class.

IMPORTANT:

  1. As per DoE’s guidelines, ATTENDANCE shall carry a weightage in the results of classes- III- VIII. A child below 75% attendance will require a written permission from the DoE to sit in her Final Exam.
  2. Students unable to secure the desired passing percentage in class V and VIII will be held back under the ESSENTIAL REPEAT category.
If a student is absent for a test or exam, no retest or re-exam shall be conducted.

  • Note book submission shall address the critical aspect of regularity, punctuality, neatness and notebook upkeep. Students shall be marked on all these parameters.
  • Subject enrichment activities shall be subject specific application activities aimed at understanding and skill development.
  • Co-scholastic activities include work education, Art education, Health & Physical education (sports).
